What do I do if I find an injured animal?

For smaller animals, like hedgehogs, amphibians and birds:

  1. Find a secure box, or container that the animal cannot escape from.
  2. Put the animal(s) inside the container and place in a quiet, cool room where they are out of reach of children, pets and others.
  3. Wait for further advice

Bigger animals, such as foxes and badgers:

These are higher risk animals and post a greater threat when it comes to causing injury to you, others and themselves.

Please call for advice and/or where to take larger animals and immediate assistance/instructions via telephone.

Each rescue is different and we urge you to read the below for more information on what to do in these situations.

Can I take an animal home and treat it there?

We urge you not to take wildlife home under any circumstances.

Wild animals are just that - Wild.

Without proper equipment, knowledge, tools and facilities, you are putting the animal and yourself at serious risk.

We appreciate you trying to do the right thing and for caring, but please let us help for the best outcome.

If you would like an update on any animal you bring in, we are more than happy to do this and send you pictures/release videos when applicable.
