Deer Rescues Explained Further
If you see an injured deer, NEVER attempt to rescue without the help of professionals.
We give every animal every chance, but due to the risks and dangers involving deer and the transportation, we are currently unable to help at this time.
Risks:
- Injuries: Deer can injure themselves during transport due to improper handling or inadequate space in the transport vehicle. Not only can they injure themselves, but they can become loose a vehicle. This can cause traffic accidently, serious injury, extensive vehicle damage and even death to drivers and any passengers.
- Stress and Heatstroke: Lack of ventilation, and high temperatures can cause stress and heatstroke, especially in young or sick animals.
- Capture Myopathy: Translocation can cause capture myopathy, a muscle disease, due to stress and exertion during capture and transport.
